The Switched VPN runs on a Frame Relay/ATM backbone over which integrated VPN and remote access solutions service customers with mission-critical networking requirements.

Switched VPN solutions are monitored by ‘Insite’, an advanced management solution from Dimension Data, which forms part of the Application Network Services (ANS) strategy. Insite manages all faults as live events, tracking and reporting on resolutions and monitoring all SLA's including those of participating telecommunication providers and other 3rd parties. Each fault is treated appropriately based on the business implication of the specific problem

The MPLS VPN solution allows for traffic to be differentiated according to class-of-service parameters over the backbone. The three classes of service are referred to as Platinum, Gold and Silver, and each comes with a set of service level agreements based on latency, availability, packet loss and jitter.
The MPLS solution ensures that business-critical traffic is unaffected by other traffic types and simultaneously maintains cost-efficiency by allowing customers to utilise lower, less expensive classes-of-service where appropriate.
